Doppelganger marketing? What!

Ok, the idea is that you find another author similar to you, but a step or two up the ladder. Not Stephen King or JK Rowling. Writers in your genre too.

Then you research the podcasts, blogs, media outlets and YouTube channels they have been featured in this year and look at what they were talking about.

Then you contact the same podcasts, blogs, media outlets and YouTube channels saying you saw they were interested in that subject and would they be interested in something like that from you…with an example of what you can do.

Is this even legal?

Yes! You are not doing anything illegal, just focusing your outreach on places with the most likely possibilities of success.

And giving yourself ideas for subjects that similar authors are talking about.
