#PublishingReinvented 82 - Reader Growth Hacking Suggestion #3 + 10 Free Places on NetGalley
Reader Growth Hacking
The concept of growth hacking is well understood in the business world. It can also be applied to increasing our reader base.
What is the third growth hack suggestion?
The Amazon 1 Week Ranking Escalator.
An escalator take you up fast to the next level.
You can do this with or without our services, but please, make sure you have plenty(10+) 5 star reader reviews, a great cover and a compelling, well laid out book description on Amazon to speed the escalator.
This hack comes from our desire to get the Amazon ads working well for clients and seeing case after case where a book at a higher rank does better when Amazon ads are turned on.
Here’s how you can build your 7 day escalator:
Drop your ebook to 99c
Book a series of BookBub Self Serve Ads each targeting an individual author with a similar book to yours. Pay above the top CPM bid for 7 days.
Book our BooksGoSocial Email to 150,000 for the same week.
Book any other appropriate email boost services at the same time.
Run Amazon ads at the same time.
Run Facebook ads at the same time.
At the end of the week put the ebook up to $4.99 or whatever price it was at before.
There are no guarantees with advertising, as the other factors are the appeal of your book and the competition in your genre, but the above 7 day escalator should allow you to get to a ranking level where ongoing Amazon ads make a profit each week.
You can also ask BooksGoSocial to plan all this for you for January if you fill in this form.
What about the 10 free NetGalley places?
We are giving away 10 free places on NetGalley this month to paying subscribers to this email or if you paid for any Silver, Gold or Platinum service from BooksGoSocial in 2021. Value $74. The first 10 to email: laurence@bgsadmin.com with a link to your book on Amazon and a MOBI or ePub file will get a place.
Happy Holidays to all.
Happy Christmas 2021!
We hope you and your family are all well.
