#PublishingReinvented 65 - Pure Excitement - New Amazon Ads Options
Excitement Starved? How About This:
Amazon has introduced two new tabs on the Amazon ads dashboards of authors!
See them here in yellow:
The Budget tab allows us to increase the budget on ads, where to do so would likely get us more sales. This benefits Amazon too, but if you have a lot of currently enabled ads (we have 2,960 active) it makes budget breach checking a lot easier.
The Targeting tab is even more useful. With it you can filter across all your ads to see two things:
Any poor performing keywords or auto ads targets, by using the Filter tool in the Targeting tab to find all with a ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) below .5, meaning for $100 spent the book received less than $50 in sales. This allows us to identify the poor performers, which may be wrecking an otherwise good ad.
Any well-performing keywords or auto targets, again by using the Filter tool in the Targeting tab to find all with a ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) above 2, meaning for $100 spent the book received more than $200 in sales. This allows us to identify the good performers, and the bids can be tweaked up to get your book seen even more. And sometimes the ROAS is 6 or 8 or 20! The golden keywords. More on those later this month!
I am sure you’ll agree, that’s quite enough excitement for one week.
But tell us your best ROAS! Can you find a good ROAS!
The rabbit holes we get lost in being writers!
