Waiting for Reader Reviews?
I know that horrible moment when I realize I’m going to have to be patient. It’s not easy, no matter how many books I publish.
One bad review and I could be looking at many wasted months/years!
These days. with trolls on Goodreads and Amazon looking to drag authors down, this process is more fraught than ever.
So here are some positive things to do while we wait:
Work on a new book. The best advice (I’m taking it.) Thing bigger this time. Something that will be marketable and which crosses over with our passions. Buy a new notebook, buy some books to research (tick, tick) and get lost in the planning. It’s a manifestation, the old way!
Join one of BooksGoSocial’s review groups, such as the larger one here on Facebook where mostly what you have to do is review someone else's book before submitting your own for review. Pick a book you like the look of and read it to get started.
Join other FB Groups related to your genre or subject matter and offer your ebook for free to readers in the group. Get email addresses and after a month email them for a review.
Join our NetGalley+service here. Get $30 off when you use bgs30 (no gaps and no caps) as a coupon on the checkout page. NetGalley is the biggest honest reader review service in the United States. We are a partner with NetGalley.
Or do everything on the list and then something else! Success goes to the persistent!
