Excellent leads. It takes tenacity and time to make it as an indie author. Who knew? I grew up on Frederick Forsyth, Wilbur Smith, Harold Robbins, Taylor Cadwell and a host of others. They were great writers, obviously. But many honed their craft while young in journalism and had lit agents. I'd love to know what they'd think of the current market. It seems every week brings out a new development we have to grapple with. Best idea, pick a few and get good at them.
I went to Selfpub-Authors Confer, and asked other auhtors and cover designers about HOW they did A/B testing. The response from atendees was WHAT?? and cover-designers said well yeah I suppose you could do that but, it's a lot of work for little gain???
YES learn to split test every piece of your PR material/promo/tag lines/blurbs//pics/etc.
