Marketing Can Be A Grind. Especially If You Hate Doing It. Try A New Tactic To Give You An Edge.
The problem with grinding something is that it can take a long time to get the job done. In late 2022, the grinding options for authors are:
Start with a well-written book, then advertise it constantly on Amazon. Keep tweaking bids to lean in to what works with higher bids.
Test single keyword and single ASIN ads on Amazon to force Amazon to show your book where you decide (new tactic).
Advertise on Facebook if you have the patience to A/B test. That means creating two versions of an ad and testing which gets better results, again and again. Higher sales is the goal, not a lower Cost per Click.
Test BookBub ads if you have a series with lots of great reviews.
Test TikTok with a new clean account, where you have only watched videos from authors in your genre. This is called training the algorithm.
And get more reader reviews. Our best selling books last year has over 1,000 now.
And get someone like BooksGoSocial to do your ads for you if you don’t want to do them all yourself.
