AI Search - How to Get Noticed
ChatGPT now includes product recommendations as part of its search experience.
When a user query implies shopping intent, such as “gifts for someone who loves cooking (books)” or “best scifi books” ChatGPT may surface relevant products.

Speaking at ALLi in October
Here’s the key part of the email I received from ALLi, with details on my talk. I will also be preparing a short workbook to help embed the learning.
Hi Laurence,
Thanks for submitting your proposal to speak at the 2025 Self-Publishing Advice Conference (#SelfPubCon25).
We love your session proposal and would be delighted to have you as a speaker at this year’s conference in October.
The conference this year takes place on 18th & 19th October.
We’d love to include a pre-recorded session from you, as below:

Liquid Content for Indie Authors: Future-Proofing Your Stories Across Formats
In a world where content is no longer bound by form, indie authors have unprecedented opportunities to expand how their stories, poems, or knowledge reach audiences. This session introduces the concept of "Liquid Content"—where your book or idea can dynamically flow between formats such as text, audio, video, and even interactive experiences—using emerging AI tools. Drawing from Marshall McLuhan’s timeless insight that “the medium is the message,” we’ll explore how indie authors can strategically adapt and repurpose their work to meet the preferences of modern readers, listeners, and viewers.
This will be a great event in October. More details as we get closer.
