A staggering 80 percent of Janitor's users identify as non-male, with the most popular chatbots being male characters. The company's subreddit boasts nearly 60,000 members, a testament to the rapidly growing community. Muah.AI is another contender, reporting a jaw-dropping $1 million in annualized revenue just months after its launch. I’ve uncovered at least eight more services on the rise, like Chai, Sakura, and SpicyChat, all gaining traction at a pace reminiscent of the early Apple App Store boom.

This isn’t just about steamy text exchanges; these platforms allow users to craft detailed characters, complete with physical appearances and personas, and even generate custom images of them in action. Rough calculations suggest that there are currently 5 to 10 million monthly active users engaging with these services—an astonishing figure that far exceeds what most people realize. This is a digital gold rush, and it’s only just beginning.

TikTok is emerging stronger after the threat of a US shutdown earlier this year. I believe that was a clear warning shot to TikTok’s execs not to meddle in the upcoming presidential election.

I see more TikToks from both sides this year, so it looks like the execs have taken notice.
