#PublishingReinvented 180: Exciting Facebook Ads Breakthrough + Friends of the Festival Option
AI images + Story Tropes/Themes + Sales Tracking = Breakthrough.
The above images - bigger when used in a Facebook ad - were created to represent the tropes of a night raid, forbidden magic and treachery in a Roman era novel.
The purpose for creating these was to find out which of these as headlines and linked images combined will drive the most sales with Facebook ads.
The breakthrough is:
Being able to rapidly produce high quality and story/theme telling images appropriate to the time and style of the story quickly and at a low cost. Searching stock images is time consuming, expensive and often a dead end.
The ability to attach a trope/theme image allows us to find out if reading about mayhem or magic or treachery or a non fiction theme etc inspires potential readers to click the buy button.
The final innovation - out for a few years but not used in this way often - is Amazon ads attribution links allowing us to see how many sales each of the above ads achieved.
This means we don’t have to judge Facebook ads on Cost per Click.
The downside is we need authors willing to test multiple ads.
The bonus is, when you know what appeals to readers you can adjust your description text on Amazon and make a profit from your ads and scale up faster than with Amazon ads.
