#PublishingReinvented 15 - My Obsession + Access the International Dublin Writers'Festival Online This Weekend
Dedication or Obsession?
The good side about being obsessed is that we focus, never give up, and devour everything that gets in our way.
The bad side about being obsessed is that we focus, never give up, you get it.
I’m not even going to talk about the illegal side of being obsessed, because there is a point you know you have to stop. Right?
But just before you reach the point of doing real damage, there’s a moment where you can put your head down, steer away from the edge of madness and stay on the track.
This year is the year to be obsessed with writing. Don’t go traveling. Don’t go to parties, Zoom your friends, have a meal out, then get back to your writing. Get obsessed with your book.
This is when you find out how much you can write, how much you secretly enjoy it.
This is the year you spin stories, skirt danger, avoid the crowds, survive, and write, write, write.
The virus will pass.
We’ll party again.
But you have to be there to meet us on the far side, in 2021.
Ok?
Your best days are coming.
