Scaling Up Your Amazon Ads.
This is the classic problem with Amazon ads. Finally, you get an ad or three to work with a profitable ACOS - cost vs spend - but you want to double or triple this result and then do it all again.
Keep in mind that an ACOS of 200% may be a profit, if you are selling 3 or 5 or 7 books in a series for most sales of book 1 in that series.
70% may be your target, but understand your read-through and KENP page reads before turning off high - above 100% - ACOS ads.
Here are my two suggestions for scaling up your ads. These are the tactics we use for clients of our Amazon ads Done for You service:
Step bids up. If you find a low ACOS keyword - below 40% - you can step the bid up 10c or 20c depending on the suggested bid and step up again if the ACOS stays low. This can see your bids go up super high, but as long as you’re making a profit and selling more books, this works.
Copy your best ads. For low ACOS ads you can also just click the Copy button on the right of the ad and Unclick the “Pause after starting” and wait and see if you can get multiple of the same ads performing at a low ACOS. Don’t worry about competing with yourself. You are just taking multiple slots in a list of ads looking to get seen.
Good luck. Just be sure to set a daily budget and to check your ads every week and make bid adjustments as needed.
