#PublishingReinvented 141 - Better Emails Anyone? + A Personal Appeal
Better Emails.
This post was entirely written by a human. No AI.
Why?
ChatGPT acts like a marketing intern!
Not for long, you say.
We’ll see.
If you want bland and stale, try it.
Here’s my suggestions for getting a good opening rate for emails (this newsletter gets 20%+):
Valuable content. A story, an idea, news. Something of genuine value. Easier said than done, sure. It take time and effort. That’s why it’s valuable.
A compelling subject line…tease…infuriate…get your emails opened!
Keep it real. For me that means short and sweet and a little about the real you. Make your point. Get of the stage!
If you need content created for you, email newsletters, blog posts or video let us know., We do this already for people.
We’re not cheap, but we’ll help with your strategy and sharing your content too.
A Personal Appeal
My name is Laurence O’Bryan. I write and I run BooksGoSocial. We have 10 staff now and do lots of things for authors. I am 18 months into a 24-28 month writing project. An historical fiction trilogy.
My vision is to have a personal support service for authors, a support service you can speak with, people who won’t delegate your calls or emails to canned responses.
Canned responses lack resonance and depth.
Almost every day I speak with writers and answer emails, personally.
But to grow we need your help.
Please share this email with a writer. That’s all. That will help.
Thank you! Every little helps.
